If your total property taxes for the year are $300 or more, you may pay them in four equal instalments. The deadlines for 2015 are as follows:
Pre-autorizated payments Subscription
From January 12 to 27, 2017
Pre-authorized payments (PAP) are an effective means of meeting deadlines and avoiding late payment fees for tax bills of $300 or more.
Two ways of using PAP
PAP subscribers can make payments in different ways:
1- Scheduled instalments (4 instalments)
The amounts indicated on your tax bill will be withdrawn from your account on the scheduled deadline dates.
2- Monthly instalments (12 instalments)
Payments will be spread out until January 10, 2018.
However, interest and penalties will be calculated based on the amounts due after the four official
deadlines. The monthly withdrawal amount is indicated on your tax bill.
Important: You cannot use PAP if you have a payment in arrears on your 2017 tax statement or if your bill is paid by a financial institution.
How to sign up for PAP?
From January 12 to 27, 2017

- Via your mortgage creditor, if applicable.
- Via your financial institution (online, counter, ATM).
- By cheque made out to the City of Brossard, which may be sent in the reply envelope enclosed with your tax statement.

We accept payment in Canadian dollars in the following forms: cheque, cash, debit card and money order. Cheques and money orders must be addressed to the City of Brossard.
If you make your payment by mail, at your financial institution’s ATM or via online banking, please allow enough time to avoid the interest and penalties that will be applied to any amount that is not paid by the deadline.
To make a payment electronically via your financial institution’s website, you should select “Ville de Brossard” as the payee and enter the reference number for electronic payment indicated on each remittance slip. Be careful not to confuse your Brossard municipal tax and school tax payments.
If you postdate a cheque, the payment will be registered on the indicated date. You should include your remittance slip with the payment. If you do not have a remittance slip, write the account number for which you are making the payment on the back of the cheque or money order. If you do not know your account number, or if you need more information, please contact Services Brossard.
You can mail your payment to the following address:
City of Brossard
Taxation-Perception, P.O. Box 10
Brossard, QC J4W 3L5
If your mortgage creditor’s name appears in the relevant box on your tax statement, the creditor received a list of payments to make on behalf of his or her clients. If the creditor’s name does not appear, you should contact him or her so that he or she adds it to the list that he or she submits to the City for future payments. The creditor may request that you send a copy of your statement in order to ensure that tax payment deadlines are met.
